Great monitor with decent speakers (if you boost the treble)
The monitor is fantastic. It has very bright whites and dark blacks. It's thin and light.
The speakers are part of the back of the monitor, so the higher frequency sounds are sort of muffled, but you can fix this by boosting the higher frequencies (treble) in the Equalizer of your audio program (like iTunes).

Ordered this monitor 9/2 anticipated delivery next week but received it today. Set up takes a little time, you must run the CD first but after all that was done, every feel into place nicely - I'm not into the speaker because I have a separate unit for it. Love the size, love the colors, more than what I expected. Will return the Dell that I ordered two weeks ago...no comparison at all. Started watching my Neflix instant movies and it's really great...I think my tv will be out of my room soon. Great investment.
Good Looking Monitor
I'll be concise:
This is a beautiful monitor (frame/finish/buttons/lighting). The images on the screen itself are crisp, and I didn't really have to make any adjustments (though I played with the settings anyway).
The speakers are even sufficient for what they are (meaning an integrated speaker in a monitor. The speakers are secondary to the monitor's main function of, well...being a monitor).
The only reason I held back one star from my rating to the location of the speakers. Because they are set behind the monitor, they are louder behind the screen than in front. If they were forward-facing, the volume would be sufficient for most mid-level computer functions (internet video, skype, etc.). But because the direction of the sound is away from you, you have to have maximum volume to hear what you normally would only have at half volume.
Besides that...great monitor!
Wish it had USB ports
Could have sworn this item said it had HDMI and USB ports, it doesn't. Other than that I'm very satisfied.... Such fast shipping, beautiful LCD screen!
